Hi Jim not sure if it was a military road but it was a single track road

Because the article talks about HGV and large coaches would suggest that it is an 'all vehicle' ban - Google street view unfortunately does not show the signage (too old)

We had to divert around - shame because it is a great road with spectacular views, if you don't meet any other large traffic
